Child Center of Pennsylvania Honors Brian Houchins with Community Recognition Award
Mechanicsburg, PA – December 21, 2023
The Child Center of Pennsylvania is proud to announce Brian Houchins of Mechanicsburg as the recipient of the 2023 Community Recognition Award. This prestigious award is presented yearly to an individual who has demonstrated distinctive dedication to enhancing the lives of youngsters in our group.
Brian Houchins, a devoted elementary faculty trainer and community volunteer, has been an unwavering advocate for children’s schooling and welfare. Over the past ten years, his efforts have considerably impacted the lives of numerous kids in Mechanicsburg and surrounding areas. Houchins’ initiatives embody establishing a free after-school tutoring program for underprivileged students, weekend workshops focusing on literacy and numeracy skills for at-risk youth, and leading a profitable community-driven marketing campaign to upgrade local playgrounds, ensuring secure and inclusive play spaces for all youngsters.
The award ceremony shall be held on January 15, 2024, on the Mechanicsburg Community Center. The event will function speeches from local dignitaries, a presentation about Houchins’ contributions, and the award presentation.
