The Child Center of Pennsylvania is proud to announce Brian Houchins of Mechanicsburg because the recipient of the 2023 Community Recognition Award. This prestigious award is presented annually to an individual who has demonstrated exceptional dedication to enhancing the lives of youngsters in our group.

Brian Houchins, a devoted elementary college trainer and group volunteer, has been an unwavering advocate for children’s schooling and welfare. Over the past ten years, his efforts have significantly impacted the lives of numerous kids in Mechanicsburg and surrounding areas. Houchins’ initiatives include establishing a free after-school tutoring program for underprivileged students, weekend workshops focusing on literacy and numeracy abilities for at-risk youth, and leading a profitable community-driven marketing campaign to improve native playgrounds, guaranteeing protected and inclusive play areas for all kids.
