Child Center of Pennsylvania honors Brian Houchins Community Recognition Award

Brian Houchins of Mechanicsburg is awarded the community Recognition Award.  This prestigious award is offered annually to an individual who has demonstrated exceptional dedication to bettering the lives of youngsters in our group.

Brian Houchins , a dedicated elementary college trainer and group volunteer, has been an unwavering advocate for children's training and welfare.  Over the previous ten years, his efforts have significantly impacted the lives of countless kids in Mechanicsburg and surrounding areas.  Houchins' initiatives embrace establishing a free after-school tutoring program for underprivileged students, weekend workshops focusing on literacy and numeracy abilities for at-risk youth, and main a successful community-driven campaign to improve native playgrounds, ensuring safe and inclusive play areas for all youngsters.

The ceremony for the award will be held on January 15,in January 15th,2024,2024on the Mechanicsburg Community Center.  The event will characteristic speeches from native dignitaries, a presentation about Houchins' contributions, and the award presentation.
